Project Title: "Velocity Dash 5k Run - Promo items"

Project Goal
To create a cohesive set of promotional product mockups for the inaugural Velocity Dash 5K race. The goal is to design a visual identity—starting with the logo—that successfully merges the themes of running and high-performance automotive culture. These designs must be bold, dynamic, and instantly recognizable. Must work fast to meet event deadline.
target Audience
Car enthusiasts (25-55 years old).
The Problem to Solve
The 5k run deadline was soon and needed to create a logo design that matched the theme of the 5k run as well as create mockups of all the promotional items that were to be given to runners. The logo and the product mockups needed to be approved within 1 week in order to be sent to production. If not approved in time then there was a chance that the event organizers would have not received the items on time resulting in an even failure.
Solution
Quickly jumped into action to create a moodboard to figure out what car enthusiasts leaned into. Within 24 hours, a logo was created from that moodboard. A consistent brand identity was followed and applied for all the essential promotional items. This items were picked specifically to match the theme of the run and with the idea of runners actually keeping this items for future use, thus creating free marketing for future events. 
Design Decisions
The goers of this event were car enthusiasts and I wanted to captured the energy of the cars by using a common color in the car scene. A bold, bright yellow that makes a statement and says "this is not your typical 5k run". The logo needed to be simple as this was to be printed on very small applications such as on the side of the sunglasses. The sharp lines represent speed, and motion. All promotional items shown to the client were picked specifically with the runners in mind, offering a modern look that would result in higher attendance for upcoming Velocity Dash Events.
